Off-the-shelf applicant tracking systems couldn't adapt to Sonic Connectors' unique requirements. They needed to manage hiring across two divisions — Sonic Connectors and Sonic Spooling — with role-specific workflows including DOT compliant employment applications for certain positions. Our Solution

We mapped Sonic Connectors' entire hiring workflow from internal job requisitions through onboarding, identified every point of friction, and built a custom hiring portal from scratch. The platform gives applicants a streamlined experience — they can browse positions by division, search and filter open roles, create accounts, and complete comprehensive applications that cover education, references, employment history, military service, and motor vehicle records where required.

For the internal team, the system provides structured candidate tracking, division-based organization, and automated communication tools. HR has robust analytics across the entire workflow, with real-time visibility into where every applicant stands — from started to submitted to reviewed — so nothing gets lost and bottlenecks are immediately obvious. The platform also includes a sophisticated versioning and audit trail system for motor vehicle record documentation, preserving historical application states and changes to support compliance and satisfy requirements if an MVR audit occurs. The portal was designed around how Sonic Connectors actually hires — not how a generic software company thinks they should. Every screen, notification, and workflow step was built with input from the people who use it daily.
